Newly appointed QAS channel manager, Grant Colley, is looking to refine the company's channel base by refocusing on its value-added reseller programs.
He plans to introduce a more formal structure which will allow the company to support its VARs through joint sales and marketing plans.
"VARs are where our strategy has changed in the last six months," Colley said. "We are looking for less but more committed partners so the remit will be about six partners per [state] territory.
"We will technically certify their integration with our product and we will provide training and assistance to ensure that our product is integrated.
"One of the key requirements from our point of view is a partner that sees data quality and integrity as important."
An address management specialist, QAS pushes its software through a mix of direct sales, VARs and global vendor partnerships with Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP and Siebel. Its customers include the Australian Tax Office, telcos, call centres, utilities and government agencies.
Colley replaces Ian Bloomfield. Prior to his appointment, Colley spent 12 months as the company's WA state manager. He previously worked for Alphawest.
Colley said he would also be looking to recruit an additional account manager this month. QAS currently has one partner account manager, based in Melbourne.
