Intel Strengthens ANZ Solution Services, Sales And Distribution Teams

<p>SYDNEY, Australia, 8 November 2004 – Intel has strengthened its local Intel Solutions Services (ISS), Asia Pacific Solutions Group and Reseller Channel Organisation teams with a number of new appointments and promotions.</p>
<p>Brett Hannath has been promoted to group manager, Solutions Marketing and Alliances. In his new role, Hannath will be responsible for managing the implementation of Intel's strategy into enterprise and government agencies as well as vertical sectors. Hannath has been with Intel for more than four years working with hardware and software vendors to drive the adoption of Intel technology within Australian and New Zealand corporations.</p>
<p>Leon Bui has been appointed distribution account manager for Australia and New Zealand. Previously channel manager at Maxtor ANZ, Bui brings to Intel his experience managing distributors and OEM relationships in the Australian market.</p>
<p>Finally Intel Solutions Services (ISS) has significantly boosted its capabilities with the creation of four new positions. ISS provides enterprises with a place to test the viability of Intel Architecture products on specific application sets. The centre is also used for enterprise test tuning, optimisation and server solutions for established or new data centres.</p>
<p>Mark Lane has been appointed as client manager for Australia and New Zealand. Before joining Intel, Lane was a senior sales executive for strategic accounts at Gartner Group.</p>
<p>Richard Cassidy has joined the ISS senior technical consulting team, bringing with him more than 15 years’ experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Intel, Cassidy was technology architect at Australian Insurance Group (AIG).</p>
<p>Leif Nielsen and Jeff Watts, both previously from Qantas, have joined Intel bringing with them strong technical consulting skills. Leif held the position of chief infrastructure architect while Jeff spent more than 17 years at the airline in a variety of positions.</p>
<p>“Intel Solutions Services has been growing rapidly, adding new expertise and filling a gap in the market for vendor-independent proof of concept and technical consulting expertise,” said Pascal Grant, regional director, ISS, Intel Australia. “As well as these appointments we are looking to expand further by hiring additional Application Platform Migration and Data Centre consulting engineers.”</p>
