Telecommunications networking and cabling services company Yost Technology has opened an Operations Depot in the Western Suburbs of Sydney to augment its CBD corporate office.
Yost operates on a franchisee model and the move signals Yost's strategy to expand its depot network to support its customers and franchisees, company officials said last week.
Yost provides construction, design, project management and installation services, and a spokesperson from the company claimed the new location reflects Yost's move into both the traditional network integration business as well as providing electrical wiring services for corporates.
The 850 square metre facility will also serve as the main training venue for the company's growing number of NSW-based franchise licensees, a statement released by Yost said.
According to Yost's managing director Garry Yost, the company currently has depots in Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne, with plans underway to open in Hobart and Perth following recent contract wins in each city.
But it is in Canberra where most of Yost's network cabling designs are supported. Yost's Design Centre uses computer-aided design software and access to Telstra's technical database to produce accurate design plans for a range of installation tasks - from initial surveying through to testing against existing infrastructure.
