New Predator is quick off the mark

Iomega claims the latest addition to its Predator series of CD-RW drives boasts the fastest rewrite speeds on the market and can record a one-hour CD in three minutes. The 40x24x40 offers Digital Audio Extraction speed with Buffer UnderRun Protection to prevent wasted CD media. Compatible with Microsoft Windows XP and Mac OS, it comes with CD burning software. Overburn technology allows the user to free-up as much as 870MB from a standard CD-R for up to 99 minutes of recording. Accessories include a USB 2.0 data cable, audio cable, external power supply, a CD-R disc and quick install manual. Predator drives are distributed by Alloys International, Ingram Micro and Tech Pacific. RRP: $399
