Intel has beefed up its channel and solutions divisions with the appointment of several new staff members.
Leon Bui has been appointed distribution account manager for Australia and New Zealand. According to Intel, Bui was previously the channel manager for Maxtor ANZ, managing distributors and OEM relationships locally.
The vendor has also promoted Brett Hannath to group manager of the solutions marketing and alliances division. In his new role, Hannath will be responsible for managing the implementation of Intel's strategy into enterprise and government agencies as well as vertical sectors.
Hannath formerly spent four years working with Intel's hardware and software vendors.
Coinciding with the channel changes, Intel's Solutions Services division has also gone into recruitment mode, placing Mark Lane, Richard Cassidy, Lief Nielsen and Jeff Watts into newly created positions to strengthen its consulting teams.
"Intel Solutions Services has been growing rapidly, adding new expertise and filling a gap in the market for vendor-independent proof of concept and technical consulting expertise," Intel regional director, Pascal Grant, said.
"As well as these appointments we are looking to expand further by hiring additional application platform migration and data centre consulting engineers."
