Kingston Technology has added to its digital media range with a new line of USB flash memory products. The Data Traveler range is available in 32MB, 64MB and 128MB capacities. The device is a plug and play device that appears as a separate hard drive on the system. It generally operates without the need for operating system drivers although Kingston includes drivers for Windows 98 versions. Kingston plans to launch more USB flash products later this year. The Data Traveler is available immediately from Simms International, Tech Pacific, and Ingram Micro.
The 32MB version carries a recommended retail price of $93 while the 64MB and 128MB devices cost $119 and $186, respectively.
