The new Siemens S55 is the first mobile phone to feature a camera with an integrated flash. The QuickPic camera allows the user to display images on the colour screen of the phone, add sound or text and send the message to another phone via MMS or to a PC via email. The Siemens S55 is WAP-enabled and has GPRS for fast data transfer and mobile Internet access.
Other features include a hands-free speaker-phone, digital voice recorder and an extended organiser. Bluetooth functionality allows wireless connection to a PC, PDA, and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Java technology means users can personalise the phone by downloading business, entertainment and gaming applications. Additional accessories include a Bluetooth headset that enables voice dialling, call management and volume adjustment, a car kit with a cradle that can be upgraded for compatibility with future handsets, a hands-free headset, car charger, desktop charger, battery and data cables. The S55 is available on the Vodafone, Optus or Telstra networks and is distributed by Sellnet and Roadhound.
