Askey discovers the Dynalink

Askey Australia has launched a new range of Dynalink ADSL routers. The routers feature dual Ethernet and USB interfaces, stateful packet inspection firewall and universal plug and play. Higher end models integrate options such as a built-in 4 Port 10/100 switch and 802.11b Wireless LAN access point. There are currently three products available. The RTA220 is a secure dual interface ADSL modem/router that enables the use of a regular telephone line for both voice calls and high-speed Internet or corporate LAN access at the same time. A USB 1.1 compliant port is also available for connecting to a standalone computer with Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP. The RTA220 comes with convenient preset levels of security so inexperienced users can choose a suitable level of firewall protection without having to learn how firewall policies are made. Expert users may define their firewall rules or apply filters to ports according to source or destination IP address. Other features include support of VPN passthrough for PPTP and IPSec ESP single tunnel mode. It carries a retail price of $300. The Dynalink RTA300 adds a built-in 4-Port 10/100 Mbps switch for sharing high-speed Internet access across a LAN or between up to four standalone PCs and sells for $449. The RTA300W comes with the same features as the RTA300 but includes a built-in 802.11b wireless LAN Access Point. It costs $549.
