Anyware Computer Accessories has moved into the burgeoning digital camera space having been appointed national computer channel distributor for both the Ricoh and Vivitar brands.
Managing director of Anyware, Garrison Huang, said the Ricoh and Vivitar brands had “traditionally only been distributed through camera stores” but there is growing demand from retailers and dealers.
“With the advancement of digital technology across many lifestyles, digital cameras are a natural addition to users’ PC experience,” Huang said.
“Anyware is expecting to see continued strong growth of digital camera sales in the PC industry.”
Huang said that its Ricoh and Vivitar product mix had not been finalised but he was expecting to soon introduce some “very special” offers.
Ricoh’s national marketing manager, Ernie Clark, said that he took the decision to appoint a computer channel distributor after receiving a lot of enquiries from resellers.
“The appointment of Anyware will enhance our distribution capability in this country,” Clark said. “I am looking forward to a mutually successful and profitable trading partnership.”
