Tecksel hits the road today on a training roadshow to showcase the unique wireless LAN opportunities the networking distributor says its new partnership with antenna manufacturer Benelec will provide.
The distribution deal brings Benelec’s ISM wireless antenna, booster and cable solutions into the IT industry for the first time, according to Tecksel.
The Australian-owned Benelec has been making radio communication antenna systems for more than 25 years.
“Tecksel opens an entirely new market segment for us,” Benelec general manager, David Benchoam, said. Benelec’s antenna range covers both indoor and outdoor applications, with both directional and omni-directional product available.
Custom cables have been designed to fit the networking products without any special adaptors or individual connections.
“The use of special Low Loss coaxial cables and directly terminated connectors will substantially enhance the performance of the wireless network,” Benchoam said.
“This allows for finding the ideal product for building to building, outdoor hotspots, indoor departmental or workgroup situations, warehouses and so on,” one of Tecksel’s directors, Mark Kofahl, said.
Resellers looking for more challenging, higher margin opportunities with wireless deployments would benefit from the roadshow training, he added.
The roadshow, which also involves vendor Netgear, kicks off in Sydney with two sessions today, one at 2pm and the other at 6.15pm. The roadshow will also visit Brisbane and Melbourne. Details are available at www.tecksel.com.au.
