Just two weeks after being appointed to head up memory manufacturer Legend’s new corporate reseller division, Chris Harris has resigned.
Harris had joined Legend along with seven other ex-Dataram staff when the American memory manufacturer pulled the plug on its Australian operation. But after two weeks heading up Legend Corporate, Harris decided the memory game was no longer for him.
“It was a personal decision,” said Harris, who is currently assessing his career options.
The rest of the Dataram staff were happily ensconced in the Legend team, he said.
“It hasn’t stopped the momentum of Legend Corporate,” Harris said.
Legend Corporate is currently being overseen by Legend strategic sales manager, Mike Sack.
“At this time we think its best to have someone in place who understands our company culture,” Legend Australasia’s senior manager, Bradley Dowe, said.
He said Harris’ departure last Friday wouldn’t hinder Legend’s plans to woo ex-Dataram customers.
Harris had “been very supportive” in bringing his Dataram customers on board with Legend, he said.
