NETGEAR extends education workshops to meet reseller demand

 • 18 November, 2004 11:47

Sydney, Australia (November 18, 2004) – NETGEAR (Nasdaq: NTGR), a leading provider of easy to use, high-performance networking products, is extending its current range of interactive education workshops to meet reseller demand.

Over 140 resellers have already signed up for NETGEAR’s wireless and VPN training workshops, which started early November and will continue until the end of the month. With increasing numbers of resellers still looking to expand their technical and practical knowledge of these technologies, NETGEAR is now holding an additional one-day wireless workshop in Sydney on December 9th at The Stamford Grand, North Ryde.

“Resellers are genuinely interested in improving their technical knowledge and have really benefited from our hands-on approach to these technologies. The specialised workshops supplement the general reseller training courses that NETGEAR runs throughout the year, and we have received really positive feedback from everyone that’s attended them so far,” said Ryan Parker, National ISP Account Manager, NETGEAR.

“Reseller demand for our current range of workshops has prompted us to hold additional classes and also encouraged us to hold future workshops covering topics such as Managed Switching, Power-over-Ethernet and Virtual Local Area Networks - just to name a few.”

The wireless workshop will look at wireless theory and the practical construction of wireless networks in home and business environments. It will also cover NETGEAR’s new AutoCell technology, which assists with wireless deployment and management.

The course costs $490 inc. GST, which includes the price of a NETGEAR WG302 Wireless Access Point with AutoCell and a NETGEAR WAG511 Wireless Adapter that are used during training. Attendees keep the products on completion of the course. If a second person from the same organisation attends the course, they will only be charged $199 inc. GST and receive a WAG511 Wireless Adapter.

For further details on the latest wireless workshop or any of the NETGEAR training courses, please email Ryan Parker at ryan.parker@netgear.com.
