Tomora Technologies has signed on as the first Australian distributor for Absolute Software, which specialises in laptop and PC tracking and management.
Tomora will sell Absolute’s flagship products, ComputracePlus and Absolute Track, and will also bring the Canadian company’s encryption and firewall products to Australia later this year, according to marketing director, Michelle Boltz.
ComputracePlus allows users to monitor laptops and pinpoint the location of missing machines. Tomora has partnered with Corporate Protection Services to support the process of physically recovering missing machines in conjunction with police. The Absolute Track product provides asset tracking and inventory management for desktop and laptop computers.
While Tomora operates a mixed model in which it supports its own corporate customers and OEMs, the year-old Sydney-based distributor is on the reseller recruitment path, Boltz said.
“We’re actively seeking resellers in other states and other verticals, education and healthcare primarily,” she said.
Tomora already has resellers Cardinal Mark and Task and Time on board.
