Acer first off the mark with Centrino Tablet

Acer has launched the first Tablet PC in Australia that incorporates Intel’s mobile technology platform, Centrino. The TravelMate C110 Tablet PC features a 180-degree rotating screen and uses natural human behaviours such as speaking and writing to capture and manage information. It uses a 900MHz Intel Pentium M processor, 855PM chipset and integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection as well as a 10.4” TFT LCD screen, 256MB DDR memory, a 40GB hard drive and WiFi 802.11b and wired LAN. It weighs 1.4kg without its DVD/CD-RW combo drive. The TravelMate C110 will be priced from $4499 and available from April.
