- New Australian alliance offers quicker, more effective and affordable advertising materials -

SYDNEY - 17 November 2004 - Lexmark has teamed with retail enterprise solution provider SignIQ to deliver distributed retail advertising solutions in Australia, it was announced today.

The solutions will allow large retail groups to deploy more responsive marketing campaigns and save on hefty production and couriering costs by printing promotional materials in-store. Retailers centrally develop promotional material before sending it potentially to thousands of stores for quick production.

As part of the offer, Lexmark will deploy its networked colour laser printers with SignIQ’s enterprise solution. Other managed print services such as repairs and supplies will also be available.

Graham Kittle, General Manager, Enterprise, Corporate and Government, Lexmark Australia and New Zealand, said the offering will provide high-quality advertising material that is inexpensive to distribute and produce.

“The most successful retailers are the ones that can best respond to market forces. At a basic level, this might mean quickly responding to a competitor’s price cut on a certain product or efficiently producing high-quality, targeted in-store advertising material consistently across a large network of stores,” Kittle said.

“Lexmark leads the Australian market in developing industry-specific output solutions and this offering with SignIQ will provide a significant commercial advantage to retailers throughout the country.”

Promotional materials that can be printed in-store include signs, shelf-talkers, shelf-labels, product labels, flyers, direct marketing campaign materials and more. The offering also allows for economic production of targeted materials.

Lagis Zavros, Chief Operating Officer, SignIQ said the alliance with Lexmark would draw upon the expertise of both companies.

“Lexmark’s industry understanding and high quality products make it an ideal organisation to help take this offering to the Australian retail market,” Zavros said.

“SignIQ’s innovative smart template and smart rendering technologies and the rapid advancement and take-up of colour printing technology means that companies can now more effectively communicate with their customers at key touch points with the right information at just the right time.”
