Cirrus Networks has inked three separate contracts worth a total of over $2.5 million through its Melbourne office, the company announced today.

Two contracts are with the Victorian-based Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board (MFB) for networking equipment, flash storage and related migration professional services.

Cirrus used technology from Cisco and Pure Storage, which it said enabled it to provide “high performing and cost competitive solutions”, with the company claiming the solutions improved the fire fighting service’s underlying platform.

Matt Sullivan, managing director of Cirrus, said he was excited to work with the MFB.

“We are particularly pleased that our reenergised Melbourne office through a competitive process is acknowledged for the innovative and cost competitive approach to high performance underlying infrastructure,” Sullivan said.

“MFB awarding us this important contract is a great achievement as Cirrus through our quality staff and strong partnerships continue to be a market leader in network and storage solutions.”

The third contract, in partnership with Vocus Communications, covered network, voice and software-defined WAN (SD WAN) services for an unnamed education sector client.

The deal is for both product and professional services to establish a best practice solution and a three-year contract to manage to the environment.

A statement from Cirrus stated that the company had been working on a “strategic partnership” over the last year leading to the contract win, which it described as “the first of many potential opportunities in the future.”
