Ingram Micro has expanded its distribution deal with cyber security and compliance vendor Proofpoint to Australia and New Zealand.
Proofpoint vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan Tim Bentley said he was pleased to extend the partnership with Ingram and tap into its expansive reseller network.
The two initially struck up a deal in the US in 2015, thereby allowing partners to take advantage of Proofpoint's enhanced partner program.
The program provides access to the Proofpoint Channel Portal which features training material, collaborative joint marketing assets, an updated deal registration program and a variety of sales and technical tools.
The news coincides with Ingram’s Cloud Summit held in Sydney and Melbourne.
Ingram also bolstered its Cloud Marketplace with new features aimed at helping partners prepare themselves for a vendor landscape increasingly dominated by as-a-service players.
The new addition, Instant Cloud Solutions, is aimed at resellers looking to transform their licensing business into an Infrastructure-as-a-Service revenue-generating model, with pre-architected, vetted and licensed cloud solutions that can be delivered to customers without the burden of defining, building or deploying.
According to Ingram Micro cloud services director for A/NZ Lee Welch, the distributor has already launched its first Instant Cloud Solutions partnership with Veeam, giving partners the ability to upload their Veeam software licence key and deliver backup solutions on Azure.
Legal agreement service ITAgree also being showcased during Cloud Summit, which provides legal agreements for channel partners to use with customers.
