Sydney-based distributor Orca Tech has signed a deal to sell Israeli cyber security vendor Pcysys for the first time in Australia.
The distributor is now seeking to build up a network of channel partners including resellers, MSSPs and security consultants, to sell the automated penetration testing specialist’s technology.
According to Orca, the agreement saw it send a number of staff overseas to become acquainted with Pcysys’ main product, the PenTera platform.
According to Orca GM Craig Ashwood, the distributor wanted to “master” the PenTera technology, which scans and ethically ‘hacks’ end-users’ networks to test their cyber security systems.
“We have focused our recruitment activities on security value-added resellers, MSSPs and security consulting houses to date, with spiking interest and adoption across all sectors,” he said.
Vendor CMO Aviv Cohen added that he was excited to “kick-off the revolution of automated penetration testing in Australia” alongside Orca Tech.’
Last year, the distributor signed an exclusive deal with identity management vendor OneLogin, focused on expanding OneLogin’s presence in Australia.
The agreement marked the end of OneLogin’s two-year-old partnership with Queensland distributor Cloud Distribution.
