Chris Hewlett has been appointed enterprise sales director at HP Australia for end user personal systems.
The former director commercial channel, alliance and SMB announced the move on his LinkedIn profile calling it a "very special milestone" in his HP career.
"I’m going back to my roots and re-joining the end user sales team for personal systems. I’m extremely happy to have the opportunity to lead such a talented team and am excited to continue to work with our fantastic partners and customers," Hewlett wrote.
"Thank you to my wonderful channel team who have set the highest benchmark in the industry over the last seven years. Thank you for challenging me, winning with me and mostly supporting me as I embark on this new journey at HP."
Hewlett replaces Andrew Mclean who has left the business, HP confirmed to ARN.
In the new role, Hewlett will report to Mike Boyle, HP South Pacific managing director, and will be in charge of working on integrated business solutions and addressing the customers technology needs.
Hewlett joined HP in 2000 as PSG account manager. Within HP's personal systems group (PSG), Hewlett then moved up the chain taking on the roles of enterprise sales manage and national channel and distribution sales manager, and in 2012 was appointed national channel sales manager.
In November 2014 he was named the country business manager for commercial channel and SMB, a role he held for four years before taking on his last role of director commercial channel, alliance and SMB in June 2017.
HP has started to look for someone to replace Hewlett.
