Oracle has launched the latest version of its customer relationship management (CRM) sales application, Oracle Sales.
The offering includes a new application called Oracle Proposals, according to the company.
Oracle Sales is a part of the Oracle E-Business Suite that automates business processes across all sales and customer interaction channels from lead to order.
Oracle Sales features many different applications. They include: Oracle Field Sales, an application that allows sales reps to register their prospects for marketing events directly from the sales system; Oracle TeleSales, that allows call center agents to update their daily activities directly in their universal work queue; Oracle Sales Offline, that provides access to information and processes that were previously available online only; Oracle Quoting, an application that allows sales professionals to update quote lines within a single screen, allowing the most valuable information to be displayed; and, lastly, Oracle Incentive Compensation that allows sales reps to personalise their commission plan structure.
Oracle Proposals, the newest addition to Oracle Sales, generates customer-ready personalised proposals from templates for sales workers.
The application automated the process of creating customer proposals, meaning that sales professionals would have more time to focus on selling instead of dealing with sales administration activities, the company said.
Oracle Proposals provides a list of predefined, preapproved proposal templates that are available in different formats and which can be electronically sent to customers or printed out to be mailed or faxed.
The application tracks which proposals are sent to which customers allowing sales reps to monitor their interactions with their clients and the effectiveness of different proposal formats.
The proposal templates can be customised and reused, Oracle said.
