IBM A/NZ's David La Rose has been appointed general manager for its global partner ecosystem and is to move to the US, the vendor has announced.
Reporting to Tom Rosamilia, senior vice president and chairman for IBM Systems, North America, La Rose will use his experience growing business partner and channel ecosystem across APAC and Europe as he assumes global responsibility for the company’s business partner organisation. He replaces John Teltsch who is now GM IBM System Sales, based in the US.
La Rose was named A/NZ MD in October 2017 replacing Kerry Purcell, who took up a senior leadership role within IBM Japan.
“Having spent much of my early career working for IBM in Australia, I regard it as a real privilege to be given the opportunity to lead this business,” La Rose said at the time.
"I have a strong appreciation for the talent that exists within IBM across Australia and New Zealand, and a great respect for the innovation and industry leadership shown by our clients."
Meanwhile, Katrina Troughton has been appointed IBM Australia and New Zealand managing director.
She has worked for the vendor for more than 20 years and held several leadership roles. She was most recently the general manager of sales.
Troughton held leadership positions in A/NZ and Asia Pacific for IBM’s analytics, cloud and software businesses. She was also managing director for IBM New Zealand from September 2004 to February 2009.
