Publicly-listed Skyfii has won a five-year deal to provide its software-as-a-service solution to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The multi-year contract will see its IO platform services, including data collection solution IO Connect and data analytics solution IO Insight across the SCG.
The solution will provide analytical data from the one million patrons visiting the stadium daily and using SCG's guest Wi-Fi network. It will also measure patron experience including visitor frequency, travel patterns around the stadium and the impact on patrons visit to the stadium as a result of weather conditions.
According to Skyfii, the information provided will allow SCG's management to make better informed decisions regarding marketing, operations and staff.
"With the deployment of Skyfii’s services, the Sydney Cricket Ground will be one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in Australia, setting new benchmarks in the sporting industry," Skyfii COO John Rankin said.
The company attributed the win to a previously announced deal with Somerset County Cricket Club in the UK.
The company closed the half-year ended 31 December 2018 with $4.7 million in revenues but at a net loss of $1.2 million.
