This is just one of three new digital flatbed scanners announced by HP this month. Featuring optical resolution of up to 2400dpi, 48-bit colour, a transparent materials adaptor (TMA) for scanning 35mm negatives and slides, 3D scanning technology and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to convert documents and articles into editable text, it is the pick of the bunch. Also available is the 3670 — which offers the same range of features but has a maximum optical resolution of 1200dpi — and the 2400, which also has 1200dpi resolution, 480-bit colour, 3D scanning and OCR. All three models are available from Synnex, Digiland, Exceed, Ingram Micro, and Tech Pacific.
RRP: 3970 $399; 3670 $249; 2400 $149
