Email archiving specialist, KVS, has appointed Regal IT to its channel ranks and promised there will be more to come as it seeks to move into the SMB market.
The UK-based software vendor has been in Australia for 18 months and traditionally sold its flagship Enterprise Vault product to large corporate customers like financial institutions and government departments. Partners in this space have been large scale integrators like Dimension Data, HP, CSC, and EDS.
“Enterprise Vault is most commonly used for email archiving — managing storage by moving older data onto a still obtainable but cheaper and easier to manage platform,” KVS Australia sales director, Bjorn Engelhardt, said.
“Compliance is a big driver. Councils have regulations requiring them to keep all emails and banks are the same. These requirements are now coming down to Australia and demand will continue to grow as more companies become aware.”
During the next 12 months, Engelhardt said KVS would look to expand into SMB, with Regal IT as the first systems integrator appointed to help it achieve that growth.
Ideally, he said KVS would appoint up to three integrators in NSW and Victoria and one or two in each of Queensland, SA and WA to work alongside its national partners.
“Enterprise Vault fits within Exchange and storage device environments, all of which are sold by the channel,” he said. “The best way for us to reach these customers is through integrators that are already selling these solutions.”
Regal IT is one of the leading Citrix shops in NSW.
