Sydney-based consultancy firm Cloudten has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) security competency status.
The security competency was established in June 2017 and recognises AWS partners who demonstrate security expertise which helps customers achieve cloud security goals.
According to Cloudten, the competency was achieved through demonstration of technical proficiency and seamless delivery of security solutions on AWS.
Attaining the security competency requires partners to undergo a rigorous selection process involving customer references and an independent audit, ensuring that best practices are in use while helping enterprise and government clients meet their unique requirements within the cloud.
“Attaining the AWS security competency underlines Cloudten’s commitment to putting security first when working with customer’s AWS workloads,” Cloudten CEO Malcolm Duncanson said.
“The competency showcases our extensive experience working within the most stringent regulatory and compliance frameworks and our ability to assist customers in shifting the dial of their security posture.”
Specifically, the security competency covers seven areas: infrastructure security; access and control; logging and monitoring; configuration and vulnerability analysis; data protection; cloud security and consulting partners.
Cloudten joins a select group of Australian companies to achieve the certification, alongside Versent and CMD Solutions – who achieved all consulting partners' competencies which includes security engineering, security operations and automation and governance, risk and compliance.
Accenture and Deloitte are also part of the group of certified partners which extends to Australia.
In July 2017, Cloudten was awarded Public Sector Partner (PSP) status by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Australia. PSP recognises AWS Partners who demonstrate technical expertise and proven success in delivering mission-critical applications and workloads to government, education and non-profit customers.
Cloudten was established in 2014 and provides cloud and technology solutions spanning the public sector, with customers across local, state and federal government in Australia.
The company has since expanded across the wider Asia Pacific region through the opening of a Singapore office.
