Synnex is rolling out an Apple configure to order (CTO) platform to existing and new partners in Australia, allowing the channel to easily configure and purchase solutions online.
"The new Apple CTO platform ties in with our e-commerce partner portal, enabling Apple authorised partners to have total control to select customised Apple products online and submit orders through the platform for fulfilment," said Onaiz Khan, business development representative at Synnex Australia.
"With better efficiency and quicker turnaround time, this cuts off double data entry and wait times. Apple partners can now be more agile; creating quotations and ordering online using this new CTO platform."
According to Khan, the Apple CTO platform represents a "core aspect" of the distributor's go-to market strategy in Australia.
Furthermore, Synnex also offers a dedicated Apple CTO page with business updates, resources, add-on services and a how-to video guide walking partners through each step of an order.
"This further enhances our e-commerce partner portal, which offers hardware, CSP, cloud, licensing, professional services, finance automation and our recently added buyback program all under the one single log in," added Darren Tan, product marketing director of Synnex Australia.
Looking ahead, Synnex expects to see 50 per cent of its Apple authorised partners using the new tool in the "upcoming education season".
The release coincides with the local launch of Synnex's technology-as-a-service (TaaS) offering in partnership with Microsoft, Lenovo and HP.
As reported by ARN, with the TaaS offering, resellers will be able to offer solutions including hardware, software, licensing, managed services and cloud subscriptions, on a monthly services bill under the TaaS offering.
