Epson’s Perfection 3200 Photo is one of the first consumer focused ultra high-resolution 3200x6400 DPI scanners on the Australian market. The Perfection 3200 is packed with all the features you’d expect: USB 2 and firewire interfaces, built-in multiple slide and negative scanner and EPSON’s smart panel user interface. EPSON hasalso bundled its Professional imaging software, Silverfast®, with the Perfection 3200. It delivers a professional set of image manipulation tools for free including adaptive colour restoration, dust and scratch removal and Negafix® for maximising negative scanning. All in all, the Perfection 3200 photo is an excellent choice for the prosumer or professional photographer looking for an ultra high-resolution scanner. Targeted at home users, the CanoScan 3000F comes with a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface that allows fast data transfer, making it more prac­t­ical to capture images at the highest resolution. The scanner makes multi-page PDF documents simple to create, even for the first time user. The CanoScan 3000F’s imaging technology offers remarkably high image quality. Optical resolution up to 1200 x 2400dpi gives sharp, crisp detail. It captures up to 48-bit colour for brilliant reproduction. Three programmable one-touch buttons are designed to make scanning even more straightforward. Just one touch will allow you to directly scan-to-email, scan-to-print or scan-to-file. The HP Scanjet 4570c is a versatile flatbed scanner with up to 2400 dpi optical resolution and 48-bit colour depth. With no warm-up time, the Scanjet 4570c delivers previews in under 7 seconds, and offers one-touch access to key scanning tasks through front-panel buttons. The HP Scanjet 4570c also offers a Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA) for scanning slides and 35 mm negatives, and an optional automatic photo feeder (APF) to make it easy to scan traditional printed photographs. Pictures, slides, graphics, scans of 3-D objects, whatever you like, can easily be integrated into digital archives and communications. The CanoScan 9900F delivers unequalled image quality, making it the ideal high-res photographic scanner. With 3200 x 6400 dpi resolution and 48-bit input, the CanoScan 9900F offers clarity of detail and depth of colour. A Canon Super Galileo Lens 2 further enhances image quality by increasing light sensitivity to the Hyper CCD, allowing sharper, truer scans than previous models. Thanks to the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed/FireWire (IEEE1394) dual interface, transferring images at the scanner’s highest settings, or more than one image at the same time, is now fast. Reflective prints, 35mm filmstrips or slides, and up to 5” x 4” large format film can all be captured quickly in sharp 3200 x 6400 dpi resolution. While the built-in film adaptor unit lets you scan an entire roll of 24 frames of 35mm film in a single pass — perfect for high-end users such as design studios and professional photographers. In Multi-Photo Mode you simply place multiple images on the glass and start scanning — the 9900F does the rest. FARE Level 2 (Film Automatic Retouching and Enhancement) technology, included with the 9900F, uses the infrared spectrum to identify and map dust and scratches on the surface of the original and automatically compensates for them. It also colour balances old film that has faded over time and corrects the grain caused by high-speed film. Four one-touch buttons are located at the front of the scanner, each button — Copy, Scan, File and Email — reduces the number of steps required to perform different tasks.
