Security vendor, Check Point Software Technologies, has inked a new distribution deal with Sydney-based specialist distributor, Orca Tech.
The new deal will see Check Point tap into new markets and verticals, with a particular focus on partner enablement.
Furthermore, the agreement is designed to ensure partners will have access to the necessary sales, technical and marketing tools in order to help tackle the next generation of cyber security threats in the market.
In Australia, Orca Tech joins Arrow ECS ANZ and Westcon-Comstor in the distribution stable.
OrcaTech general manager, Craig Ashwood said the distributor will be offering partners access to automated threat detection, correlation and investigation technologies.
“The best technology partnerships are founded on powerful technical alliances," he said. "Orca Tech is proud to work alongside Check Point to offer Australian businesses access to invaluable automated threat detection, correlation, and investigation."
According to Scott McKinnel - managing director of Australia and New Zealand at Check Point - the new deal represented an opportunity to establish a firm presence in Australia, allowing the vendor to tap into numerous industries and channel partners.
"Strategic partnerships with companies like OrcaTech are key to expanding our presence in the region,” he said.
The new distribution deal follows on from Check Point’s recent appointment of Hamish Soper as channel director across A/NZ, replacing Craig McGregor.
Soper - who returned to the security specialist after 12 months - is tasked with expanding and enabling the vendor’s ecosystem of partners on both sides of the Tasman, rejoining Check Point from AppDynamics.
