Devoli taps Mitel channel expertise to drive trans-Tasman growth

New brand encompasses Vibe Communications in New Zealand and IntelliPath in Australia

Devoli has acted on aggressive channel expansion plans through the hiring of Craig Howe from Mitel, as the Auckland-based automation provider deepens partner capabilities across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Operating as the new brand of Vibe Communications in New Zealand, and IntelliPath in Australia, Devoli is a business-to-business software automation specialist and supplier of connectivity services, spanning wholesale bandwidth, co-location, aggregation and network design.

To facilitate trans-Tasman growth, the business has appointed Howe as sales and customer success manager, recruiting the channel expert from Mitel.

Specifically, Melbourne-based Howe is tasked with helping system integrators, managed service providers and unified communications providers speed up the consumption of voice and data services from large Australian telecommunications providers, creating new annuity income streams in the process.

Furthermore, Howe - who was previously sales and channels manager across A/NZ for Mitel - is responsible for “evangelising” Devoli’s advanced automation tools, in a 100 per cent channel-focused role.

“With 16 years’ experience in the Australian technology sector, Craig brings a wealth of local experience to Devoli’s growing team,” Devoli CEO, Karl Rosnell, told Reseller News.

“We are breaking new ground in Australia and New Zealand, and using a combination of software and robotic automation, Devoli aggressively shortens the path to revenue for our wholesale customers. Craig’s role is to create awareness and ensure simplified adoption of our tools into these businesses.”

Prior to Mitel, Howe was partner business manager for ShoreTel, covering South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania market.

According to Rosnell, Devoli was created to “fill a void” in the Australasian telecommunications market that centres on aggregating vast networks owned by different entities.

Through automating the intellectual property around the process, Devoli provides a single interface to consume data, place orders and manage customer experiences.

“The direction of the business is to operate as a country-of-origin agnostic brand that will offer a platform to deliver services in any territory where an opportunity is discovered,” Rosnell added.

With 27 staff across both sides of the Tasman, Devoli is currently growing at 40 per cent per annum.
