Cloud-based project management software vendor Mavenlink expects to double its growth in the local region after establishing its Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Melbourne.

The California-based vendor, which claims RSM among its consulting and implementation partners, works with thousands of professional, technology, marketing, and consulting services organisations in over 100 countries around the world.

The company already has offices in the Philippines and several other locations in North America and Europe. However, the new Melbourne office will serve the company’s fast-growing base of clients in Asia Pacific and act as the central sales and services hub for the region.

The Victorian Government, which supported Mavenlink’s move to Melbourne by providing business assistance to the vendor, expects the new Asia Pacific headquarters to create 30 new jobs by 2020.

“It’s an honour to have the Victorian Government supporting the launch of our Asia-Pacific headquarters in Melbourne,” Mavenlink Asia Pacific region general manager Joe Thymian said.

“We've been very fortunate to have had a significant and growing interest in our product in Australia over the past couple of years, and look forward to using this opportunity to further enhance our offering," he said.

For Mavenlink founder and CEO Ray Grainger, the move comes at an exciting time for the company, as it sees rapid growth and expansion into international markets.

“We have been fortunate to have had increasing interest in our solution in Australia and across Asia over the past couple years,” Grainger said.

“We’re excited to launch our Asia Pacific headquarters in a bustling city like Melbourne as we look to provide more services organisations in the region with the digital infrastructure they need to succeed in today’s service level economy,” he said.
