Top performing IBM business partners recently enjoyed a three-day trip to the Hunter Valley in recognition of their efforts.
The 30 winners of Know Your IBM were distributors and tier-one resellers that recorded outstanding sales of IBM desktop PCs and ThinkPad notebooks as well as its Intel server range in 2002.
“We took them all to Cyprus Lakes and basically spoiled the hell out of them,” IBM’s PC channel manager, Phil Cameron, said. “Events included wine tasting, hot air ballooning, beauty therapy and golf but those who wanted to were free to laze by the pool.”
The trip ended with a Heaven and Hell-themed dinner. Guests started the evening by enjoying a few drinks in a serenely lit room listening to peaceful music, watched a firework display and ended up dancing the night away in all together more decadent and dimly lit surroundings.
“A good time was had by all,” said Cameron, who will launch IBM’s 2003 incentive program this week.
