Dicker Data (ASX:DDR) has landed a new Australian distribution agreement, gaining access to the entire Commvault portfolio in the local market.
The deal, which is set to take effect from 31 May, aims to increase the sales pipeline within the mid-market and enterprise market segments with the data backup and recovery vendor.
“We see an opportunity to introduce Commvault to our existing partners and to leverage all of their alliances with our current vendor portfolio to drive increased sales in the mid-market and enterprise segments,” Dicker Data chairman and CEO David Dicker said.
Commvault A/NZ vice president and managing director Dan Kieran added that the company's business strongly relies on partners and their ability to address diverse customer requirements.
“Commvault has built a very rich and diverse partner ecosystem globally, and distribution has a critical role in that community,” Kieran said.
Recently, Dicker was appointed as the distributor for the Citrix reseller business locally, following the vendor’s decision to overhaul its channel strategy in Australia, parting ways with Tech Data.
In addition to this, Australian Internet of Things (IoT) device vendor, Buddy Platform (ASX:BUD), placed all of its sales focus and efforts in Australia into Dicker Data after reseller negotiations with Telstra (ASX:TLS) came to nothing.
