Sybiz puts reward on new customers

Adelaide-based Sybiz Software is offering channel partners a 50 per cent margin on new customers attracted after they have hit sales targets.

Part of the Sybiz Associate Rewards Program, the move is designed to encourage business partners to keep looking for new customers.

“There are additional costs for partners to go out and find new business and we want to reward those that are achieving,” national sales manager, Paul Hedges, said. “They are the ones making investment in infrastructure, sales people and product promotion.”

The company’s flagship product, Sybiz Vision, is accounting software aimed at companies with a turnover of between $1 million and $100 million.

Sybiz has a channel of more than 50 partners, two-thirds of which are classified as Authorised Support Consultants. The remainder have reached the higher rank of Authorised Business Partner. Ten business partners have managed, so far, to achieve the 50 per cent margins on sales to new customers over and above targets.

“We haven’t set ridiculous pie-in-the-sky targets because that would create no benefit for us or our partners,” Hedges said.

Sybiz is planning to offer international holidays, probably to Fiji, for the most successful individual sales people. “It isn’t a new idea but it works,” Hedges said.

The company also claims to have improved online support by launching an extranet service called SybizCentral. This offers partners access to technical articles, sales and marketing information and customer base details.
