Ingram Micro has boosted its security portfolio through the addition of secure remote access solution vendor, Northbridge Secure Systems.
The new deal sees Ingram Micro gain access to Northbridge’s core NetConnect remote access product, which integrates with PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, iOS and Android devices. It also allows users to securely connect to Windows based physical and virtual desktops, published applications, web-servers and corporate file servers.
“NetConnect is Australian-developed and is a great fit for our reseller clients, helping them to securely maximise the business efficiencies of their cloud solutions,” Ingram Micro A/NZ cloud services director, Lee Welch, said.
Northbridge Secure Systems CEO, Michael Harte, said adopting a distribution model with Ingram will enhance its collaboration with the channel.
"Collaboration is an important part in bringing our products to life and offering essential solutions to our Australian and global business partners,” Northbridge general manager, Xavier Simon, added.
In March last year, Northbridge launched its partner program, offering the ability to provision free trial licenses for partners and their customers. To attain this, partners were required to complete a technical and sales accreditation training.
NetConnect by Northbridge Secure is available on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace and via traditional Ingram Micro distribution.
In recent months, Ingram has been ramping up its security portfolio through expanding its distribution agreement with email cyber security software services provider, RPost, to include the Australian market.
Through Ingram's Cloud Marketplace, partners have access to email security, compliance, and productivity services.
Its US agreement with agreement with cyber security vendor, Lookout, was also extended to cover the A/NZ market back in February.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Lookout provides a portfolio of security solutions for mobile device integrity and data access.
