Data#3 teams up with Tenable as security practice expands

Terms of the deal will see Data#3 join the Tenable Assure Partner Program

Data#3 has signed a partner agreement with Tenable, as the technology provider continues to expand security capabilities across Australia.

Terms of the deal will see the Brisbane-based business leverage the vendor’s solutions to extend security offerings for customers, across vulnerability and threat detection, alongside visibility.

Data#3 will join the Tenable Assure Partner Program, which offers expertise across technical training and support, web syndication and joint marketing funds, as well as demo software, deal registration discounts and field sales collaboration.

“Cyber crime is a growing concern for Australian companies today,” Data#3 national security practice manager, Richard Dornhart, told ARN.

“As we continue to evolve our security practice to ensure that environments are protected, the collaboration with Tenable will expand our growing security services portfolio. I look forward to working with the Tenable team to help customers solve their complex security challenges.”

Since launching in 2015, Dornhart said the provider’s security practice has gone from “strength to strength”, with Tenable helping extend security offerings across, SecurityCenter and Nessus portfolios.

At the time of the launch, the practice housed existing skills sets, coupled with support from the consulting, assurance and risk expertise of Business Aspect, which was acquired by Data#3 for $6 million in September 2014.

Today, the division provides services specific to identity and access management, data and devices, backed up by networking, monitoring and analytics.

“This partnership will allow Data#3’s customers to benefit from our portfolio of solutions which empowers organisations to accurately understand, represent and ultimately reduce their cyber risk in the face of the rapidly changing modern attack surface,” Tenable A/NZ country manager, Bede Hackney, said.

“The timing of this partnership is ideal for Australian businesses that are now grappling with the mandatory data breach notification legislation which took effect last month.

“We look forward to the impact Tenable and Data#3 will have in supporting complex security requirements and building market momentum for both companies.”

From a technology perspective, Tenable partners with Amazon Web Services, ServiceNow and McAfee, in addition to ForeScout, CyberArk and Splunk.
