Application intelligence provider, AppDynamics, has promoted Simon Horrocks to the newly created regional vice president for Australia and New Zealand role.
AppDynamics, who was acquired by Cisco in March 2017 for US$3.7 billion, has been experiencing a strong year of growth both globally and in A/NZ.
Horrocks joined AppDynamics in November 2016 as country manager for A/NZ. He came from ScienceLogic where he had been the vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan for more than four years.
At AppDynamics, he has been responsible for establishing sales teams in New Zealand, Canberra and Perth, while growing the Sydney and Melbourne teams, the company told ARN.
In the new role, Horrocks will oversee the AppDynamics A/NZ team making sure customers are able to capture, manage and rapidly analyse their customers, application and business performance data.
AppDynamics, who now runs as an independent business unit at Cisco, ensured this is not part of a restructure of the business but a response the growth it has experienced in the region.
The company is currently hiring for several roles in order to keep up with customer's demand.
"Given unprecedented demand for a single platform that can drive both application and business success, AppDynamics is expanding roles in Perth, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, and Wellington. This includes roles in sales, professional services, and customer success teams," Horrocks told ARN.
As a result of Horrocks promotion, sales director for Victoria, George Tsoukas and regional sales director, Mark West, will share the country manager's responsibilities.
