Optus Business has launched a new managed services portfolio, Optus Go, a suite of simplified information communications technology (ICT) solutions.

Optus Go was developed for organisations of all sizes, and combines ICT products, services and support.

According to Optus, businesses using the suite will be able to communicate effectively with their employees and customers, create and exchange information, and enable and manage their data strategies with Optus Go.

Optus will manage the enterprise-grade, scalable, as-a-service solutions provided within Optus Go.

“We developed Optus Go to make the benefits of advanced ICT services accessible to all organisations, regardless of size or budget," Optus Business managing director, John Paitaridis, said.

"Optus Go addresses two key priorities for business leaders: enabling them to spend more time building value instead of managing their ICT assets; and giving them access to the types of technology that will help them grow and prosper, without large up-front expenditure or need for in-house specialists."

Optus Go contains Optus Go Cloud, Optus Go Connectivity, and Optus Go Collaboration. Optus Go will offer flexible solutions, as-a-service consumption pricing without large up-front capital expenditure and a solution fast to activate.

“While all businesses are different, the technology challenges they’re facing are often similar," Paitaridis said.

"Key digital priorities include keeping employees and customers connected anytime, anyplace, on any device, driving collaboration and managing data, all in a way that grows and scales as an organisation’s business does.

Delivering ICT services with a predictable monthly fee which bundles network, equipment and service management will open up the world of ICT for many organisations that have traditionally seen these types of services out of reach due to complexity and cost.”

The new offering comes after Optus Business saw a year-on-year decline in revenue for the quarter ending December 2017, according to the latest financial report by parent company, Singtel.

However, the business unit's pre-tax earnings (EBITDA) grew by five per cent for the quarter.

Optus Business ICT and managed services revenue declined 13 per cent year-on-year attributed to phasing contracts, posting $146 million. In the previous quarter the segment had shown a 15 per cent increase.
