Brisbane-based IT services business, Venn IT Solutions has hired the former local channel manager for F5 Networks, Ashley Diffey, to head up its Victorian branch as it expands into the state.
Diffey has spent the better part of the past year as F5 Networks' channel manager in the local market, a role he took on after more than a year as the vendor's local partner manager for Telstra.
Prior to his time with F5 Networks, Diffey spent several years with Commvault, first as the company's southern region channel sales manager, and then as its director of channel sales for Australia and New Zealand.
Altogether, Diffey has spent more than 15 years in the local tech landscape, holding several sales and account management positions with companies such as Weston Group, Broadreach Services, Telstra and Premier Global Services.
In his newly created role at Venn IT, Diffey will be responsible for supporting new customers, managing end user deployments and partner relationships in the Victorian market.
Venn IT Solutions managing director, Geoff Hughes, said Diffey’s skills and experience add a great advantage to its customer base as it signs up new business opportunities and continues to build up its overall services and solutions in the market.
The Queensland company has also moved its Brisbane premises to a much larger facility in Bowen Hills, Brisbane. The new location features a collaborative workspace for employees, partners and customers; and will allow the company to continue growing as it signs up new business opportunities in the public and private sector.
In the past few months, the IT services business, signed a number of managed backup service agreements for two multinational global mining businesses and a national food distribution business.
Established in 2015, Venn IT's customer base also includes food distributor, PFD Food Services.
