Network security vendor, WatchGuard, has appointed Mark Sinclair as its new regional director for Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Sydney, Sinclair will be responsible for expanding the company’s market presence in A/NZ, overseeing new revenue opportunities and managing local customer and partner relationships.
He has more than 15 years of experience in IT sales and channel relationships.
Sinclair joins from Oracle where he was most recently A/NZ commercial sales programs and strategy director. During this time, he was responsible for selling Oracle cloud and software solutions to A/NZ enterprise and mid-market customers.
Sinclair also previously worked at Trend Micro for 10 years, where he held several positions, including sales engineer and services director and commercial sales director for A/NZ prior to moving to Oracle. In his last role at Trend Micro he was responsible for mid-market and small business revenue.
He had previously worked at Tenix as sales engineering and product manager and at Baltimore Technologies as a sales executive.
Sinclair replaces David Higgins who retired in August 2017 after three years in the regional director role.
Higgins told ARN at the time that it was a personal decision to retire that was met with mixed emotions, but he was still ‘fit enough’ to get through a huge bucket list of items, with travel at the top of his agenda.
