As Dicker Data bids farewell to non-executive director, Wendy O’Keeffe, its management ranks have been bolstered by the addition of fresh talent from Cisco and Lenovo.
Former Cisco business manager, Vickie Madeleine, has joined the distributor as its new Cisco Group general manager, while former Lenovo A/NZ PC Group national distribution manager, Nicole Freeman, is Dicker Data’s new vendor alliance manager.
It is understood that both both Freeman and Madeleine began their new roles with the distributor in September.
Madeleine, who has also done time at Hewlett-Packard (now HPE), including heading up the company’s South Pacific server category team, replaces former Cisco general manager, Nabil Yaghi, in the role. Yaghi now holds the position of solutions architect for the distributor’s Cisco Group.
Freeman, meanwhile, takes on a newly created role. Freeman comes to the new position after roughly 14 months with Lenovo A/NZ. Prior to her time at Lenovo, Freeman also did time at Hewlett-Packard (now HP Inc.), holding the position of national wholesale account manager from 2013 to 2016.
On 12 October, Dicker Data revealed that non-executive director, O’Keeffe, had resigned from her role as non-executive director to take on a full-time executive role with "another organisation".
Prior to joining Dicker Data, O’Keeffe worked for more than 10 years with fellow distributor, Westcon Group. She was first Westcon’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand being later promoted to executive vice president for Asia-Pacific.
As reported exclusively by ARN, O’Keeffe revealed plans to vacate her role at Westcon-Comstor in August 2016, leaving the distributor at the end of November 2016.
