Managed services company, Continuum has appointed its first Australian distributor, Bluechip Infotech, seven months after establishing the first Asia-Pacific office, located in Sydney.
Continuum started conversations with Bluechip Infotech during its Australian Partner Day, held in March this year.
“We found that we had similar guiding principles, along with a mutual interest in offering additional value into the Managed Service Provider community in the region,” Continuum Asia-Pacific managing director, Frank Bauer, told ARN.
The agreement will see Bluechip Infotech offer Continuum’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform to managed service providers in Australia and New Zealand.
This is part of Continuum’s international growth strategy, which gives the company access to more than 1,000 Bluechip Infotech partners.
“Continuum’s IT management solutions are some of the best in the North American market, and we’re glad to be bringing those solutions to businesses in Australia and New Zealand,” said Bluechip Infotech managing director, Johnson Hsiung.
“Our MSP partners are continually seeking out solutions that not only help them complete day-to-day tasks, but that enable their businesses to grow into more profitable, efficient operations. Continuum has both the track record and the data, to show its platform can meet those needs, and we’re looking forward to expanding its market presence in the region.”
Continuum told ARN that has no plans to add other distributors at the moment.
“It’s vital for us to work from a single pane of glass, in every sense of the word, so to be able to leverage Continuum’s RMM solutions through the same relationship as our technology distribution is vital,” Evolve IT Australia managing director, Nick Moran, said.
“Using Continuum’s solutions has allowed us to receive more accurate and consistent alerting, while spending less time managing our tools – something that our business wasn’t resourced to ever do well. This has allowed us to spend more time strategically with our clients, delivering projects and solutions that deliver real business outcomes and ultimately, greater client satisfaction.”
In January, Continuum appointed Bauer to lead the local business. He relocated to Sydney from the US, where he was the senior channel development manager for Continuum.
At the time, Bauer said he was going to work in close cooperation with regional managed service providers (MSPs), IT service providers (ITSPs), and office equipment dealers (OEs), to achieve their business goals.
