Tenable pipes up over partner program

For resellers, managed security service providers and distributors

Cyber security vendor Tenable has launched the Tenable Assure partner program in a bid to see partners remain competitive in the cyber security space.

The partner program has three levels for its authorised resellers, which starts with the entry level Silver and also has Gold and Platinum.

The program also takes in authorised distributors.

General benefits of the program include no-cost sales and technical training, pre-sales technical support, web syndication, joint market funds, promotion in partner directory, purchase discounts that increase with partner level, deal registration discounts, free lab/demo software, turnkey marketing campaigs and collaboration with field sales team.

According to the company, Tenable Assure will position partners to build long-term, consultative relationships with customers, helping them translate raw security data into a metrics-driven program.

The program, which takes effect on 1 September, includes a managed security service provider (MSSP) program designed to provide customers’ flexibility of choosing strategic, cost-effective solutions and custom services to help them to manage, measure and reduce their cyber exposure.

The program was designed to showcase partners’ custom services and the ways in which they can serve as an extension of a customer’s cybersecurity operations. The vendor also revealed it is launching its first MSSP offering.

Tenable has guaranteed that its program will ensure Tenable sales team support partners in generating new business.

Tenable Assure will provide ongoing training and certification to partners to empower them to give customers strategic counsel, pragmatic solutions and custom services.

“Partners are critical to our mission of empowering organisations to accurately understand, represent and reduce their cyber risk across the rapidly changing modern attack surface,” Tenable chief revenue officer, John Negron, said.

“We’re investing in our partners to help them remain competitive in a market that is rapidly evolving and together we’re building a world-class revenue-generating machine that will not only accelerate Tenable into the next stage of growth, but benefit our partners directly as well.”

Tenable Assure will remove price competition for partners by registering all enterprise and commercial deals, helping partners build predictable annual revenue. The Tenable Assure partner-first model ensures that partners receive discounts for all deals, whether generated by the partner or Tenable.

Tenable was established in the US in 2002. The vendor has more than 23,000 customers in more than 150 countries. The company’s latest second quarter results showed US$50 million in billings, which represents 50 per cent year-over-year growth.

In April, the company appointed Gordon Gakovic as the first Australia and New Zealand country manager.
