Sydney-based Orca Tech has announced it will distribute Forcepoint’s DLP (data loss prevention), insider threat, web security, email security and next-generation firewall technologies.
According to Forcepoint, Orca Tech will focus on enterprise and government customers.
According to Orca Tech A/NZ marketing manager, Jelena Milosevic, companies need to focus less on protecting infrastructure and more on human points of interaction with systems and data.
“Our customers face a rapidly evolving threat landscape. While many solutions on the market today focus on defending the perimeter, this partnership with Forcepoint enables us to offer our customers a new opportunity to implement a system of solutions that work together to eliminate cybersecurity blind spots everywhere. We are excited to bring our customers a differentiated, people-centric approach to security,” said Milosevic.
Forcepoint's other distributors in Australia include M. Tech Products Australia and New Zealand and Tech Data Technology Solutions business, formerly Avnet.
“Forcepoint’s partnership with Orca Tech will help our customers protect their employees, critical business data and intellectual property by detecting and eliminating risky cyber behaviours,” Forcepoint A/NZ country manager, Guy Eilon, said.
“Orca Tech has a proven track record in delivering value to their partner network and an exceptional reputation in the security market.”
In April, Orca Tech signed Malwarebytes as its foundation vendor. At the time, an Orca Tech spokesperson told ARN the company will place initial focus on the mid-market and enterprise segments. It will target cyber security vendors in the $3 million to $30 million range and will work with any partner looking to expand its cyber security offerings.
