Tassie partner strikes deal to resell Canada's Inuvika technology

Partnership enables Virtual Information Technology to resell Inuvika's virtualised application delivery technology

Tasmania-based IT services firm, Virtual Information Technology, has forged a partnership with Canadian virtualised application delivery company, Inuvika.

Virtual Information Technology, which counts Citrix, Red Hat, Amazon Web Services and Nimble Storage among its roster of vendor partners, specialises in IT strategy, architecture, solutions development and implementation, and infrastructure services.

The vendor's solution, Inuvika OVD, aims to deliver virtualised Windows and Linux applications to any device, without the cost and complexity of traditional virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions. According to the company, it is a virtualised application delivery platform that can be managed through a single web admin console.

The new deal sees Inuvika OVD Enterprise made available through Virtual Information Technology’s head office in Hobart, Tasmania.

Inuvika CEO, Kevin Gallagher, said he looks forward to working with Virtual Information Technology, with the company's 40 years of experience delivering IT services and solutions playing a part in the vendor's decision to partner with the Tasmanian partner.

"We are pleased to announce that Virtual Information Technology has joined the Inuvika partner network in Australia," Gallagher said.

“Virtual Information Technology brings over 40 years of experience in delivering IT services and solutions to government and commercial clients. We look forward to working with them to deliver innovative virtualised application solutions based on Inuvika’s OVD Enterprise platform,” he said.

Virtual Information Technology co-founder, Nicola Cox, said the partnership between Inuvika and Virtual Information Technology is a “strategic fit” for the company as it assists customers with their digital blue print.

This is an exciting time in the ICT landscape. The opportunity digital transformation presents to deliver business value to our customers has never been so great.

“Inuvika OVD solutions reduce IT complexity and the costs associated with traditional VDI delivery methods and connects people to information through on-demand access to any application on any device, running any OS, in any location. We are excited to be the first Partner in Australia to offer this solution,” Cox added.
