Leo Lynch has vacated his role at Huawei to head up channel operations for StorageCraft across Australia and New Zealand.
Effective 6 March, ARN can confirm that the industry veteran comes onboard as Head of Sales A/NZ, with the remit of expanding the back-up and recovery vendor’s partner network on both sides of the Tasman.
ARN understands that Lynch will primarily be tasked with doubling StorageCraft’s partner base locally, alongside improving sales processes, coverage and partner training.
In addition, Lynch will be tasked with formulating and executing sales go-to-market strategies, while driving the business to achieve “Best in Industry Net Promoter” scores.
“We are delighted to have Leo joining the team to head up the A/NZ sales team,” StorageCraft Sales Director of Asia Pacific, Marina Brook, told ARN.
“Leo’s intimate knowledge of the channel will help drive our strategy and reinforce our ongoing commitment to our partners.”
Previously, Lynch built and developed Huawei’s channel network in Australia, having joined as Channel Director of Enterprise Business Group in January 2015.
“Over the past two years Leo has established great successes and built a strong channel network,” Huawei Australia Director of the Enterprise Business Group, Leon Li, told ARN.
“Under his leadership, Huawei Australia has established a successful partner strategy in Australia and we have grown our channel network with over 100 active partners and three strong distributors. We wish Leo the all the best for his future endeavours.”
During Lynch’s tenure, Huawei has developed into a channel friendly vendor locally, through the revamping of the vendor’s partner program and the addition of local distributors.

“Together we have achieved great results for our channel partners, transformed the way we do business in Australia and helped our customers address their ICT challenges.
“Huawei will continue its strong growth across the business year on, and focus on establishing a strong partner network in Australia. I am leaving the company with strong momentum and wish Huawei the best of luck.”
Following Lynch’s departure, Paul Richardson, currently responsible for channel strategy and network in New South Wales (NSW), will take over the role in an acting capacity until further notice.
Prior to joining Huawei, Lynch also held channel management roles at IBM, EMC and Hewlett-Packard.
