UpGuard has signed an exclusive distribution partnership with ACA Pacific, in a move designed to establish the cyber security vendor in Australia and South East Asia.
The Australian-born, Silicon Valley-based company allows organisations to see the ongoing state of complex IT infrastructures, while providing visibility into internal cyber security practices.
Earlier this month, the vendor officially expanded into the Asia Pacific (APAC) region with the opening of a Sydney office, with plans in place to invest locally in the year ahead.
“UpGuard is committed to a two-tier channel model in the Asia Pacific,” UpGuard Vice President of APAC, Gerry Sillars, said.
“Given ACA’s history and pedigree, we’re honoured to partner with an organisation that will support our growth in the region.
“ACA's extensive reach and strong reputation in South East Asia and Australia will enable UpGuard to scale its business rapidly as we deepen our roots in the region.”
Sillars said the appointment of ACA Pacific represents a “key step” toward expanding the vendor’s business operations across the region.
As a result of the deal, UpGuard’s products and services will now be available to more than 15,000 resellers across Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
“UpGuard's Cyber Resilience Platform will offer significant opportunity for ACA's partners and their customers across Australia and Southeast Asia,” ACA Pacific General Manager of APAC, Craig Gledhill, added.
“UpGuard has already enjoyed a long history of success in the region, and we look forward to continuing these ventures together.”
Back in 2012, co-CEOs Mike Baukes and Alan Sharp-Paul founded UpGuard through StartMate, an Australian accelerator program, before moving to Silicon Valley later that year.
Over the past five years, the business has continued to grow more than 300 per cent, and now counts Rackspace, Ulta, Citrix, Amadeus, PGI and ADP among its customers.
