BlueJeans seals first Aussie distributor deal

Vendor signs on VExpress to expand into new channels

Cloud-based video communications company, BlueJeans, has inked a distribution deal with VExpress, representing the vendor's first distribution partner in Australia.

BlueJeans Asia Pacific Managing Director, James Brennan, said the new deal will “transform” VExpress’ current video communication offering with BlueJeans’ suite of solutions, including Primetime, onVideo, onSocial and the recently launched Huddle Rooms.

Brennan was only recently brought on board from Polycom to lead the company’s APAC business, taking charge of the sales, marketing, and customer success teams, and working with customers and partners as the company looks to increase its channel business.

For Brennan, the appointment of VExpress is another step in the company’s local market growth strategy, fulfilling its commitment to expand into new channels and offer BlueJeans products to resellers.

"The appointment of VExpress as our first Australian distributor is our dedication to a strong focus on customer service, channel enablement, pre and post-sales support and a flexible and innovative approach to meeting the needs of the channel," he said.

"The needs of the modern workplace are constantly evolving, so it’s critical for BlueJeans to have partners like VExpress who can meet our customers’ complete business needs with transformative solutions today and into the future."

In September 2015, BlueJeans said it was investing US$76.5 million to fuel global growth.

Specifically, APAC and Europe, Middle East and Africa are key geographies the company said it will focus on.

In March last year, the company partnered with St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM), to conduct telehealth review appointments for patients.

VExpress general manager, David McEwen, mentioned that the partnership gives partners and resellers the benefit of support in an easy to use, secure, cloud-based service and that BlueJeans will complement resellers’ existing portfolio of communication solutions, making it a fit for partners that are transitioning to a recurring revenue and cloud model.

“BlueJeans offers a cloud product that is not only simple to use, but the quality of the service is second to none," McEwen added.

"The global leader in video communications has demonstrated excellent support and service to our resellers and distributors.
