David Charlton has vacated his role as General Manager at Ingram Micro, taking over as CEO of telephony reseller, ABTC Group.
The industry veteran departs the distributor after almost ten years, joining one of Australia’s largest supplier of telephone peripheral products.
Specifically, Charlton will be tasked with driving growth across ABTC Group’s existing portfolio within the ICT hardware, peripherals and solutions space, as well as introducing the privately held company to new complimentary markets and verticals.
“ABTC Group has an extensive and loyal customer base that spans greater than 25 years,” ABTC Group CEO, David Charlton, said.
“We plan to introduce to a number of new portfolios and solutions that will enable access to turnkey SMB and enterprise business solutions, it’s our objective to deliver an outstanding customer experience.”
Drawing on over 20 years of channel experience, prior to joining ABTC Group, Charlton most recently headed up the specifically division of Ingram Micro, focusing on specialty brands and vertical start-ups.
Looking ahead, Charlton said ABTC plans to add new business units, products and managed services to its current portfolio, while doubling down on delivering relevant ICT products, solutions and services.
“The company is already very well-known and respected in the industry for its range of high quality ICT products, peripherals and solutions,” he added.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead the business into the next growth phase.”
Established in 1991, ABTC Group’s expertise extends from wired to wireless ICT solutions including headsets, audio conferencing and video conferencing.
Across Australia, the company works with vendors such as ADDCOM, Cisco, Gigaset, Jabra, Konftel, Plantronics, Polycom, Sennheiser and Yealink.
