Avnet Technology Solutions has signed a local distribution agreement with Veritas, in a move designed to deliver the vendor’s data management portfolio to partners across Australia.
Building upon regional and global agreements, Avnet - as a Veritas Authorised Distributor - will now offer partners the ability to collect, protect and analyse data.
Specifically, the agreement offers a greater breadth of solutions to Avnet’s partners, spanning hybrid cloud, information management, back-up and recovery and software-defined storage.
“The relationship with Veritas further enables Avnet to drive scale and profitability for our partners whilst helping end customers accelerate digital transformations within their organisations,” Avnet Technology Solutions vice president and general manager of Australia and New Zealand, Darren Adams, said.
“Veritas aligns nicely with Avnet’s solutions specialist strategy, offering our valued partners, and their customers, the opportunity to capitalise on growth opportunities brought about by the cloud.”
Veritas - which split from Symantec in February 2016 - continues to refocus its efforts on its information management heritage, deepening ties with long-standing resellers, alongside a host of new partners across the country.
Tapping into licensing and service provider expertise, key partners locally include Intalock, Insight Enterprises and Datacom, as well as specialist plays through InfoTrust and consulting capabilities through Insentra.
“The cloud computing market continues to undergo unprecedented growth, fuelled by the demand from businesses of all sizes to adopt a cloud-first strategy,” Veritas channel director of Asia Pacific, Janet Docherty, added.
“Avnet brings significant value to the Australian channel with its robust know-how in business development, partner enablement and pre-sales expertise.
“We are confident this comprehensive distribution mix will further add value across the breadth of services for both existing and new partners.”
