Sydney-based managed service provider, Uplinx Group, has officially rebranded to Outcomex, in a move to better reflect its motto of delivering business outcomes for its customers.
“We realised that one of the tenants in the business is talking about outcomes; it’s in our DNA internally, externally, with customers and partners,” explained Outcomex national sales manager, Michael van Zoggel.
“It is significant because when we broach a problem or work through solutions with customers, inherently we discuss the outcome first. It makes the process a lot more efficient, cuts through inconsequential detail and we really get to understand what we’re aiming for.”
He added that the corporate identity refresh for the Cisco Gold Partner also works to reflect the way that the business is run and the company attributes its focus on outcomes to account for the majority of its growth, since its inception in 2006.
“It’s not about the way that something happens or the time that it takes, it’s about creating the right outcome. Focusing on that and not on the ‘white noise’ allows us to be a lot more effective, all round,” van Zoggel added.
According to the company, the original name, Uplinx, was born of an organisation that delivered complex and mission critical networking and voice. However, whilst the same core skill sets have remained, the company has broadened its portfolio of services and skill sets immensely.
“In that, we identified that it’s difficult to make that change in perception without re-branding. The organisation as it sits is far larger, more experienced, more mature in process and delivery but retains the core of what we’ve always evangelised in being skilled, certified, cost effective and agile,” he said.
The second part of Outcomex’s updated corporate identity in progress is the new fit out of the company's Sydney headquarters.
“We are using this to solidify our identity and formalise it somewhat, by introducing very innovative workspaces such as outdoor working, chill out zones, highly collaborative spaces and cutting edge automation amongst other initiatives,” van Zoggel added.
Outcomex has a strong play in the local government space, having won multiple tenders to transform business for six local NSW councils by deploying 2500 Cisco IP telephony endpoints.
The company also scored a large deal in June with Westmead Children’s Hospital, where it deployed F5 and Cisco technology to transform its patient entertainment system.
